形态描述：植株高10-20 (-25)厘米。根状茎直生，长1-2厘米，具细长的、稍肉质的根。茎直立，纤细，在中部或中部以上具1枚叶。叶稍肉质，通常近长圆形或长圆状披针形，长3.5-6（-9)厘米，宽8-14（一17）毫米，先端急尖或钝，基部收狭，抱茎。花苞片叶状，狭长圆形、线状披针形或披针形，长1.5-2.5（一4）厘米，宽3-5(-7)毫米；花梗和子房长1-1.5（-1.8）厘米，明显短于花苞片；花单朵顶生，向上斜展，常紫红色或淡紫红色；萼片狭长圆状倒披针形，长1.5-2.2厘米，宽2.5-3.5毫米，先端钝或渐尖，中脉两侧不对称；花瓣与萼片相似，近等长，但明显较宽，宽3.5-5毫米；唇瓣近狭长圆形，长1.4-2厘米，向基部略收狭，中部以上3裂；侧裂片顶端有不规则缺刻或流苏；中裂片舌状或倒卵形，约占唇瓣全长的2/5-1/3，边缘具流苏状齿缺；自唇瓣基部有2-3条纵褶片延伸至中裂片上，褶片常互相靠合而形成肥厚的脊，在中裂片上变为鸡冠状流苏或流苏状毛；蕊柱细长，长7-10毫米，上部具狭翅。蒴果长圆形，长2-2.5厘米，宽5-6毫米。花期5-7月，果期9-10月。
